Terms of service
Effective 1 October 2026
TunnelDigger is an online game run by TunnelDigger, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands (see the imprint below). By creating an account or playing you agree to these terms.
Early access
The game is in early access. Features change, balance changes, bugs happen, and the world may be reset while the game grows. Play time you bought stays on your account through a reset; your base, tank and inventory may not.
Your account
- Anyone may play. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian agrees to these terms and the privacy policy for you.
- One person per account. Keep your password to yourself; what happens on your account is yours.
- An account needs an email address, confirmed by a code before the first game. It is used only to confirm the account and to reset the password.
- We may close accounts that are abandoned for a long time, after a notice by email if we have one.
Play time
- Every account starts with free play time. Time counts only while you are logged in.
- You can buy more play time on this website. The seller is Paddle, our merchant of record; their terms apply to the purchase itself.
- Play time is tied to the account it was bought for. It cannot be moved, sold or paid out.
- Prices may change. A change never touches time already bought.
Fair play
Do not cheat, use bots or modified clients, exploit bugs, flood the server, harass other players, or post anything illegal in chat. Shooting other players, taking their loot and raiding their bases is part of the game; being a pest in chat is not. We may warn, mute, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules. A banned account's play time is not refunded.
No guarantees
The game is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it online, but we promise no uptime, no fixed content and no particular outcome. Our liability towards you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Changes and law
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when. Dutch law applies; if you live in the European Union you keep the mandatory consumer protection of your own country.
Privacy policy
Effective 1 October 2026
We keep as little as a multiplayer game needs. No advertising, no analytics, no tracking cookies, no selling of data.
What we store
| Data | Why | How long |
| Account name and a salted hash of your password | To log you in. The password itself is never stored. | Until the account is deleted |
| Email address, confirmed by a code | Account confirmation, password reset | Until the account is deleted |
| Game state: tank, base, inventory, research, play time counters | That is the game | Until the account is deleted, or a world reset for the world part |
| Chat messages, with sender and recipient | To handle abuse reports | While the account exists |
| Purchases: hours, price, Paddle's transaction id | To credit the hours and to handle refunds | Seven years (Dutch bookkeeping law) |
| IP address | Rate limits against floods and mass registration; server logs | Logs: at most 30 days |
Who else sees data
- Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited, London) handles payments as merchant of record. At checkout Paddle receives your email, country, postcode, payment details and the account name the hours are for. Paddle's own privacy policy applies to that.
- Error reports go to an error tracker we run ourselves. They contain technical details and may contain your account name, never your password or email.
- Other players see your account name, your tank and what you build, and the chat you send them.
- Discord is a separate service with its own rules; joining it is your choice.
Where
The game runs on servers in the European Union. Mail about your account is sent from our own mail server.
In your browser
The game keeps a login token and your display settings in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in and keep your layout. No third-party cookies.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your account and its data deleted: mail info@tunneldigger.io; we check that the account is yours and answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Children
The game is for everyone. Under Dutch law a child under 16 needs a parent's or guardian's permission for an account; by confirming the email address the parent gives it. We keep no more about a child than about anyone else: the account name, the email address and the game. A parent can ask us to delete a child's account at any time.
